The company announced in 2008 it would locate a customer service call center in Florence County and has been open for a year. On Wednesday, the company opened its new 75,000 square foot call center in Florence with a handful of local and state leaders on hand for the celebration. Included in the group was South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford, who proclaimed the company's addition was a "monster deal" for Florence County.

QVC, Inc., one of the largest multimedia retailers in the world, today celebrates the opening of its 1.4 million square-foot distribution center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebration at 2200 TV Road in Florence, S.C. The facility estimates it will ship 1.8 million packages this year, which equates to more than 10,000 per day and more than 1,000 per hour.
